My Local Services provides a directory of UK Businesses and Tradesmen, rated and reviewed by you the customer.

So what’s it all about?

There is always lots of publicity about "cowboy" builders and dodgy, rip off tradesmen. It's good that there is, but when you want to hire a good plumber, builder, electrician, or find a nice restaurant or pub in your local area where do you look? Well you might ask your friends for a recommendation. Good thinking, but how many people can you ask?

This is what this site is about. We're about word of mouth recommendation. My Local Services is literally visited by tens of thousands of people every day. All businesses that are listed can be recommended if you think their quality of service warrants it. Businesses with the most recommendations will go to the top of the list within their relevant category. This should reduce your risk when searching for a particular service, and is a chance for the many quality and professional businesses and trades people to shine.

We only allow positive feedback, and all feedback is manually approved by our administrators. Our system also only allows one feedback per business per person. We took the decision to only allow positive feedback as there are plenty of sites which have a negative theme, and we want to hear about your positive experiences, and those businesses and tradesmen that stand out from the crowd. If we have repeated negative feedback for a business, we will take steps to remove them from our database, but the primary purpose of our review system is to hear your word of mouth recommendation.
