Local charity, Tees Valley Wildlife Trust were B&M Skelton's VIP guests for the day and received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part.
Local mayor, Cllr Karen King accepted an invitation to open the new B&M store in Skelton, cutting the ribbon to declare the store 'open'.

We are writing to comment on the way we were assisted by your staff on our recent visit. We bought some bulky and heavy goods and were pleasantly surprised when Amanda on the check out asked if we would like help to load them into our car ; on confirming this she summoned Johnny who arrived straight away. He then cheerfully took the goods to our car and loaded them. We had already been helped voluntarily in the garden centre . We really appreciated this help and can only say how refreshing it was to receive such voluntary help. We will certainly continue to shop in your store and to congratulate you on your staff.
