We cannot recommend this company enough, they were brilliant from start to finish. Very professional, the guys fitting the windows and doors (Dave and Spencer) were great. So efficient and did not stop except for a coffee and jam on toast. People even pop out to see you whilst they are working just to check all is ok or any problems, but there weren't any. Perfect job and we love our new windows.

Barnet Windows replaced my lean-to conservatory with 8 new glazed windows on to a dwarf wall and 4 top of the range thermal glazed glass roof panes to replace the existing polycarbonate.

I did get two other quotes but decided on this company as I was impressed by their product offering.
They give a 12 year guarantee on the build and life time guarantee on the glazed windows.

Their price was competitive if a little higher than others.

The whole process from quote to detailed survey and then installation was stress free.
I am very happy I chose them.

I cannot rate Barnet Window Company highly enough! From requesting a quote for an exterior door through to the installation (a wonderful job done by Chris) they were totally professional, communication was excellent and everyone we spoke to in the company was helpful and friendly.

The task was to replace 5 windows (one being particularly large), a fanlight & 3/4 glazed back door with cat flap in the kitchen of my Edwardian house with double glazed versions fabricated to my own design. Barnet Windows were a joy to deal with from the very first meeting up to and including instalation which took less than 2 days. The company were as detail focused as me regarding the design & incredibly helpful in providing me with intricate measurements. I chose this company to do the job after extensive research and they have repaid every penny spent in the quality of the product, workmanship (including a first class cleaning up job) and customer service throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend & will certainly use again.

We had 7 windows installed in 2 days - good timekeeping, guys worked well, dust sheets everywhere and everything cleaned up at the end of the day. All very professional and would recommend to use again. All in all a smooth installation, including initial quote, paperwork and administration.

A very professional company with well qualified, competent staff. Everything was handled well throughout the process, measuring, fitting, etc. They were punctual, polite and friendly.

I am delighted by all aspects of Barnet Window Company. They have completed the installation oof the sliding glass door to my terrace. Before the installation I dealt with Tommy, Paul, and Steve. They were all helpful in answering questions, discussing options and making recommendations.

I believe Steve did the survey. He was very thorough and was willing to explain what would be done. He was also receptive to my questions and answered them satisfactorily.

The door was installed on 3 May in one day. The installers, Ricardo, Chris, and Sam were thorough in removing the existing door, preparing the opening, and installing the new door. Again, receptive to my inquiries and very pleasant to deal with. The installation was done to a high standard.

I would highly recommend Barnet and will used them again if the need arises.

Very pleased with every aspect of dealing with Barnet Window Company. They fitted a new back door which I'm very pleased with- very high standard of workmanship. In all my dealings with the company, they were very professional. They always responded very promptly to requests and were friendly and helpful at all times. The time scale was exactly what they said initially. Finally, after the fitting eveything was left really clean and tidy.

We had a front door fitted by Barnet Window Company in 2018. In February 2023 I reported a slight stiffening of the lock. A company employee arrived within 24 hours and fixed this minor problem. Very happy with customer service.

We have used the company several times and have always been happy. All the staff are very helpful. Today we had Dave & Spencer installing new windows at our daughters flat and they were very efficient and took care to protect the property whilst doing the work, which was to a very high standard. Very pleased with the whole experience.

Amazing Customer Service! I rang and spoke April at Barnet Windows in Welwyn Garden City to enquire about a small nuisance problem with our French door lock and she totally surprised me by asking if she could send Andy the Technician over in about 20 minutes! When i asked what the charge would be she said it would be free and thank you for buying our doors and windows! Andy turned up in 20 minutes and fixed our problem in 10 minutes. Lovely guy, no fuss and sorted the problem straightaway. A brilliant company!!

TL;DR. Why choose Barnet Window Company? My advice is don’t. Their Aftersales Department are shocking. If they damage anything during installation, they will not take any responsibility. It’s a shame because the windows are lovely but I would not use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Everything was well with the visits, quotes and surveying for the order. The windows themselves seem well made and have the usual guarantees.

The issue came on the day of installation. The installers arrived on time and laid down their sheets covering the walkways and work areas. When the installers were packing up, my parents noticed that there were stains on their carpets, which had been newly laid a few months ago. Some of the stains seemed as if they had tried to be cleaned already and my parents tried as well. We contacted Barnet Windows and asked what they could do to help, along with some photos.

Their reply was that:
1. The dirty sheets belonged to my parents and any that Barnet Windows laid were brand new.
2. Due to the type of installation, it would not have produced this type of staining.
3. The installers reported that they did not try to clean any stains.
4. They were unable to accept any responsibility.

When we told them of our disappointment, it took over 24 hours to receive a response, during which we concluded that nothing was going to happen and we’d better try and take the stain out.

They did then visit the property after which they said:
1. The stains were not in the immediate work area.
2. They could not see the stains on inspection.
3. They will now close the matter.

Initially, when we asked what Barnet Windows could do to help, my retired parents did not expect to be implied as liars. English is not their first language and they have had to explain to the best of their ability what happened only to be told there was “some confusion”.

I expected better from a family run business such as Barnet Windows and went with them due to a personal recommendation. I’m writing this review because I would want to know how their treat their minority customers. Response from Barnet Window Company:

From the very first, Tommy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the various options that were available. The help in visualizing the various options/combinations helped arrive at a consensus the family were happy with.
Once booked in, the fitter Kim, was quick and efficient in sorting the installation ensuring a mess free finish.
