Ordered item on Sunday from PC World. Advised home delivery in 2-3 days. No news until Thursday when e-mail received from Basingstoke Sorting Office advising that the item was received at the depot at 07:58 and would be delivered that day on the 25th January 2018. . No item delivered. Checked tracking which still shows item received at Basingstoke. No further update. Tried to contact customer service who will take 72 hours to carry out an investigation (big help). While attempting to contact the sorting office myself I was passed back to customer service. I pushed them to try and phone the sorting office but they were unable to get through as none of the telephone numbers got a reply (that's if they were phoned). Advised I could not make a compensation claim for the item until 10 days after expected delivery, what a joke. Do not use royal mail they are unprofessional, unhelpful and would not know good customer service if it hit them in the face. One phone call to the sorting office manager would surely sort this out, obviously too difficult for them. I would be willing to pay double delivery charges NOT to use them. PLEASE, PLEASE avoid them at all costs.
