Booked for a tyre change via Asda tyres at 8am on Satuday (12/9/2020)
Initially I was told that they never received my tyre from Asda tyres and my car was never booked. (This was denied by Asda tyres who confirmed that the car indeed was booked for that time.)
Then after searching for 5 minutes, the tyre was found.
Then I was told that I have to leave the car and wait until I receive their call to pick it up which could be anytime upto 5pm on Satuday.
When I expained that this is not possible due to my schedule and I booked this time on Satuday because that was the only time I could have the tyre fitted, I was told by the manager that I could leave without my tyre or wait until I receive their call and those were my options.
When I asked how to complain I was told that this has nothing to do with Halfords and that they get only £10 for fitting the tyre and I can go and look up how to complain on the internet.
This is the second time this has happended to me in the same Halfords Autocentre branch and the same manager was on duty the previous time as well. I complained to Halfords in 2018 about this I never even got a reply.
So dont book for tyre fittings with Halfords Autocentre Smithdown Road unless you want waste your time. And don't bother complaining as they do not seem to reply to customer complaints.
