Recycle For Greater Manchester

We work with local councils in Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford, to inspire and encourage the residents of Greater Manchester to manage their waste responsibly, helping residents to see the value of waste and the real benefits that can be achieved by wasting less and recycling right.

Though part of Greater Manchester, Wigan administers its own waste disposal services.

We do this by:

1. Developing creative and innovative campaigns to encourage and inspire residents to recycle more, recycle right and waste less at home and on the move
2. Educating students and communities through tours and visits at our Education Centres
helping residents to see waste as a valuable resource which should be conserved, recycled or used to create energy
3. Engaging with residents in an honest, clear, simple and creative way that inspires change
4. Providing up to date and relevant information that gives people the advice they need, when they need it
