Today, 28th June, I have tried to contact the Truro HMRC office twice. The first time, after a long wait and having given various details eg NI number to the automatic system (at whatever cost on the phone) I got through to someone, had to answer all the ID questions again before receiving a partial answer to my questions then being cut off. The second time I rang, I waited and waited and waited, listening to the music and automatic 'please wait', then got cut off.

Spoke with a lovely lady today to sort out my tax code. Helpfull, informative, friendly and even wished me well in my new job. Couldn't have been better
