My parcel from Poland was not left at my door on Fri. 5/1/24 even though it was a safe place so I followed the directions on the red card and booked redelivery on the next working day Mon. 8/1/24. I waited in all day. The parcel did not arrive. I phoned the only number available on the card 03457 740 740 and after waiting half an hour, was informed there was a 'glitch' in the system. The next available date for delivery was Thurs. 11/1/24 which I booked and received a confirmation e-mail. I cancelled all my appointments and waited in again all day. The parcel did not arrive. I searched for a tel. no. specific to the Cowley Road, Uxbridge Office. Nothing available. No surprise there. I phoned the central number again and continued to get the same recorded message that my parcel had been delivered on the 5/1/24 but it appeared no-one was at home. No mention of the subsequent two delivery bookings. No opportunity to speak to anyone. No point in trying to make another appointment as I would in all likelihood waste yet another whole day with all the financial consequences and no possibility of going to the depot in person. The card tells me my parcel will be returned to sender after 18 days so I can only assume my long-suffering granddaughter will not be receiving her Christmas present this year. I am truly disillusioned by the appalling service of this postal office and will be totally amazed if anyone with authority bothers to read this and do something about it.
