The last thing a client wants is for their point of contact to go quiet. Then you can pay them for their time, so you don't have to worry about getting on to your emails!”
Thanks, that's not a bad idea. Might be tricky to pay someone if my income has stopped though! I was thinking of partnering unofficially with another proofreader so we could take on urgent or emergency work for each other in the event one of us can't work, but it would take some sorting out as I have a very high standard of work. When my regular work increases, as it's starting to, I will have to look into something.
