I wondered today how just search might be getting on with helping the site promotion, so I tracked down the url "www.supanaturalz.com" and thought the title tag of the home page would probably be what terms they had agreed to use for targeting.

One of them in the title tag is "utritional Supplements" the have left the "N" of to spell "Nutritional Supplements"

I hope Mark knows about it.

Hmmm, lack of attention to detail, probarbly a trainee let loose on the account, does little to inspire confidence!

SEO companies crack me up, they all seem to do a great sales pitch and ask in most cases for a substantial amount of money. All seem to have good websites themselves but so many of them fail to deliver to their customers. Last year I got involved with 2 SEO companies for my other website, one said what you need is links thousands of links, being a bit naive I said ok, ching that be

Thanks,
Barney

So next Monday I am in county court as they think I should pay up... I may even stick in a counter claim will have to see how it goes

It really is shocking and the outsourced SEO world really needs a good shake up. The good reputations of the genuinely good analysts and consultants are being tarnished by this "promise the earth" SEO sausage factory mentality.

Having been bitten a couple of times, and having to threaten legal action, I personally now would sooner use an SEO consultant who is an active contributer on forums, so you get an idea of their style, knowledge and reputation, rather than talk to any large SEO outfit, no matter how shiny and polished they appear.

Our US directory gets about 30 - 40 businesses a day that have been signed up by an SEO outfit. 99% of them are terrible, and we delete most of them as pointless illogical keyword infested spam. Yet no doubt these are all listing entries for paid clients.

I hope your day in court works in your favour, and if they haven't delivered, or their work is shoddy or inferior, it should be no different from chasing down a rougue tradesman.

Wow, seriously, that's quite disgusting really, with a mistake like that, no wonder the SEO went nowhere.

I hope everything has gone well for you, the court thing seems laughable, after pointing out that they were doing the SEO wrong fundementally in the first place.

There are some real cowboy outfits out there that prey on the smaller business! It really does make my blood boil especially as I'm an online marketer

Just Search are a shocking company, I too seethe at their tactics, they add hundreds of useless links to your site, that they know full well (although i didnt) google dont like and will penalise you for by stripping you of your google ranking, it has cost me thousands in sales and will cost me thousands to repair the damage and JUST SEARCH charged me thouands for the priveledge AVOID JUST SEARCH, do not take my comments lightly, they really are internet con merchants, we are having to take legal advice - dont let it happen to you - AVOID JUST SEARCH at all costs

Now this has to be the biggest thread bump ever on MLF By the way welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your outburst. Now we know why their page in not on google index and they rebranded and reindexed on google as justsearchseo and had 13 5* reviews which looks like clearly made by them.

Why I chose Just Search: They were Number 1 on Google UK for keyword "SEO" for over 5 years.

As such, I assumed that they knew what they were doing! Furthermore, they have clients like "Sports Direct", Sainsburys, Earnst Jones, and many more. As such, I believed that they were trustworthy and a decent company to work with.

Sales team: Very Good

Account Managers: I have had 4 within the last 6 months!

Quality of Links: Extremely poor

Quantity of Links: High and Spammy low quality links. I have received a google penalty for unnatural link building since taking on Just Search.

Position when commisioning Just Search: 1st and 2nd place for many of my keywords.

Position now: Some keywords do not even rank for google.

Contact with Just Search: 1. Requested a list of the links which Just Search have built for me - They were unwilling to do this.
2. Requested to speak with the Just Search Link building team - they were unwilling to do this.
3. Requested Just search remove ALL spammy links - They have yet to confirm 2 months later) whether this has been done or not.
4. Request regular updates from Account Manager. Received regular calls from accounts requesting to take payment.

Moving forward:
1. I am holding back any further payments to Just Search.
2. Just Search have almost bankrupted my company. I am about to seek legal advice.

Oh, I have been advised by Just Search verbally on the telephone that 30-40% of their clients (possibly over 300 in the UK) have been hit by the google penguin update.

Just Search stance - Google moved the goalposts.

My Stance - Just Search have been building spammy links and getting away with it. I have a feeling that what they were doing was always against google guidelines and that JustSearch knew this.

Just because an SEO company's website states, that it has well known clients on it's books, I learnt the hard way that this may well not be the case, it gives potential clients a perception that they are dealing with a reputable company. It happened to me, in the end I wrote to the blue chip companies and none of them had ever heard of the SEO company. After a long drawn out court case, the SEO company involved has removed all references to these businesses. And I never did pay them, it cost me more in legal fees, but it was a principle thing for me, not a cat in hells chance was I going to give them any more money...

Thanks,
Barney
