Who still uses cash?

Yes, Rebecca, even I prefer using cards. Because it is much safer, convenient and hassle-free to use. I only use cash when card facility is unavailable. Also for large purchases, carrying cash is often not an option, as it becomes inconvenient and very risky. So, I personally believe using cards is more beneficial than cash.

i agree. it is a lot more convenient though there are a few problems. and in this time that covid19 virus is affecting everyone - online transaction is greatly helpful.

Online transaction is the best option for payments. It can also do small transaction while facing cash problems while paying cash. I have a payment application on my phone. If I have to pay at any store then I do it by phone. It's a bit strange to keep a wallet in a pocket. Keeping the wallet in the pocket in the time of this digitalization has become outdated.”

The only time I have cash is to give the kids their pocket money. To be fair, normally if I need any cash I have to borrow the kids pocket money

I mostly like to pay online because I get cashback and it is also safe. If the note comes through many hands, then bacteria like Coronavirus can also come, so it is best to do cashless transactions.

I personally like to use cards or pay using mobile apps. Because using cards or paying through mobile apps is a more convenient method of payment than using cash. There is much security and don’t have to always carry and manage cash. Also, with cards, it is easy to track the flow of money. We can exactly know where and when we have used money.

I've no problems with cards or contactless card payments. I hear you about mobile apps and I know you are right, but somewhere in my primitive dinosaur brain, it just doesn't seem right to set my mobile phone up to make payments.

Maybe I watch too many FBI or NSA related drama's and convinced everyone is trying to hack my phone and nick my brass

Had to laugh yesterday, was in Tesco’s and the old boy in front of me who was wearing fingerless gloves and a stylish under the chin face mask, wiped the drips from his nose with his bare hands..... before counting out £30 in £10 notes, then handing it to the cashier..... then when leaving, telling her to stay safe....

Thanks,
Barney
