Hi  - just starting up a drone inspection business covering Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk - a1droneimaging.com

Anyone any good stories to relate about getting funding?

Cheers!

I've got to be honest, this is probably the best time for funding.

Talk to your local authority and see if they have any new business start up grants. Can you tap into any of the 12 month free interest loans or do they specifically say you need to have been trading for a set period?

Failing that, if you haven't any trading history, then as long as you have a sound business plan, approach a bank for funding. Final option, if you are turned down by the banks, look at something like Funding Circle or similar crowd funding.

Hi Alan

I recently started up a new company i used these guys to help me secure a loan money wow they specialise in a wide area of business loans. They dont directly lend they compare over 80 lenders and give you the best rate. I must say i received a very good service.

Just to say I took the link for money wow out of your reply as I checked them out and they have some very dubious reviews in the Google app store. I would be very cautious using them. Some people claim it is fake and some saying they call all your contacts if you're ever late with a payment.

Business funding info is best sought from free places like Barclays, they have a special business team and other banks do similar. Or your local council or the FSB (federation of small businesses).

Hi Rebecca

The company you are referring to is a complete different company and not the same as moneywow.co.uk i believe the moneywow app is for personal finance and they have no involvement what so ever in Moneywow.co.uk. Moneywow.co.uk is a UK company and is completely free as it compares the best business loans giving you the best rate. Moneywow.co.uk doesn't even have a mobile app.

Thanks

Thanks for the clarification. When I googled money wow the app was the only thing that came up!  It's unfortunate for them to have the same name.

Hi Rebecca yes unfortunately so but its seems to be a company set up in India. If they are dodgy in any way they fingers crossed they wont last long.

many thanks

With so many routes to funding out there, I'd personally stick with vendors that have a track record and lots of feedback.

After 5 mins Googling, I couldn't find any reviews or feedback related to Moneywow, other than the ropey app by the same name. Doesn't mean they're not ok and good feedback if someone has genuinely used them, but when it comes to funding and cash, anything to mitigate risk is a bonus.
