Not impressed at all, we are not getting any work from the advert nor are we getting any more traffic through our sites from the advert. in my opinion it is a waste of a lot of good money, i certainly wont go there again, thats not to say that keywords are not getting hits and clicks, but i was promised 1000 viewings in 12 months we are hoping to get some work out of it. Things are not looking good at the moment.

Thanks,

Qype Viewings down from 49 last month to 31 this month, these are viewings to my premium business page on Qype, only had 1 follow through to my site,
I have more than that per day on my slow website, and Qype should have a busy site and subject to play with.
OH Well , you live and learn.
Just organised another advert with a company that delivers the goods so i will be ploughing some money into them. That makes me feel Better.

Your not the first and you won't be the last...

Last year I spent about

I dont think anyone should push for a deal if they cant produce what they say they can, i for one will let the world know when i get a goodun or a badun.
My Local is ok it has been good to me so far, and at the cost i certainly wont complain.

I have to stay with QYPE for the 12 month period in order to see if they can hit the required figures or if not i can have a full refund, however i can pull out after 6 months and lose the money that i have invested even if they cant hit a decent figure in 6 months.
So my dilema is do i pull out knowing that in the time i have been with them we have had 1 follow through to our website (as per QYPES own figures) and lose any maonies paid to them, or do i keep going for the year, moan cos it costs me a lot of money for nothing then pull out and get a full refund.
Of course a part of the problem they have is that we had a special deal in order to entice me in, and that was a double up of the normal figures that they use. ie 500 doubled to 1000 Visits (so far we are no where near on track) and of course we are in a niche market, which means that they will be struggling anyway.
I am wondering how we can get our money back and break the contract at the same time, as there is clearly no way that the figures are going to be met. However we are near to the top of Google with the QYPE advert, but we were there anyway.

Suggestions on a postcard LOL

In my experience these companies often have so much small print. It depends on how much tiem you have to dedicate to get out of it, how you value your time. If there is an easy way, then do it, as that's what it seems you want to do.

If i can find a way out of it i certainly will, by now the advertising should be doing well, even my own site (which is very new) gets a lot more visits than this one that is supposed to be able to do what i cant, mainly cos i am not a computer whizz kid.

My view on these sites are a bit different. I use them for links. That's why I pay them. If I get business through their site it's a bonus. But most people will find us through natural search, so they will type something like "computer maintenance london" or "london computer service", (this is not a plug). or something along those lines. So, as long as they can give me high pr or quality links, then I am willing to pay within reason.
