Alice from RE is a good one... nice and easy - red dress, boots and a huge-ass gun!

"Outlaws" is overstating it a bit. I get that it's necessary to use that word in the headline for the awful and obvious in-law/out-law gag, but at no point does poor old Barnet Council say that mother-in-law jokes are against any rules.

Saying "look, be aware that some people might not get this sort of joke and think you are having a pop at them. We're telling you nicely so that you don't have to learn by being told angrily or possibly violently by an irate customer," isn't really the same thing as skipping through our cultural heritage with a big sprinkler of BAN.

It sells papers, the written word is gospel and we're all lemmings...

So the party was on Saturday and we had a great turnout but I must say there wasn't much imagine from the ladies. Amongst the female guests we had...

4 Witches
3 Vampiresses (if there is such a word!)
2 Brides of Frankenstein
2 Dead/Zombie School Girls
1 Dead Cheerleader
1 Edward Scissorhands (pregnant and only a man's costume would fit)
1 Ghost Pirate Wench
1 Medusa
1 Female Mummy
1 Alice in Wonderland (she said she was too sweet and innocent to do horror)
