I called the person who are in charge for our new website making , and found the mobile No. can't be reached now, it is out of service . So bad .It is the first time to meet the person like him, I just want to ask him for admin address for website, so that we can go on ,if he can't do according to the contract. I tried calling the company call ,the manager said because the person doesn't work in their company any longer, they can't do nothing for the website.I am so surprised to hear that, as if the contract mean nothing for them. Maybe I should try to contact their CEO. Or give up ... If give up,what should we do for a unfinish website ?  If I can log in admin account , maybe I can try finish myself. but I don't know how to log in to my website...stone21
Blimey, sounds like you have a bit of a problem! So the web designer that was building your site has disappeared, and the company that employed him say there is nothing they can do or won't honour your contract? Never heard anything like it!! It sounds like they had a dodgy freelancer. I guess it's down to the impact on your business, and the time it will take to resolve. It sounds like you have had nothing but trouble, and a new designer isn't going to be keen to take on a half finished project. Maybe bite the bullet, write it off and move on? Get a professional designer, and design a new site? Guess it comes down to cost.

Hire a designer from a company which is reliable, accountable, professional and affordable. “If I can log in admin account , maybe I can try finish myself. but I don't know how to log in to my website...” Log in from your c-panel that helps in your website
You should name the Company on this forum, we did it once and we got the problem resolved in 30 minutes after weeks of trying. This forum has a lot of impact. Mark Pitts

You don't mention if your domain is registered with the same company but for anyone looking at website hosting/development I would recommend - - Always have your domain registration and design/hosting with different comanies. That way if things go bad it's easier to move. - Always keep your own backup of any website design/data. Don't only rely on your provider. Good luck with finding a reliable design company. When did you commission the site, what was the start date and when did it stop? It isn't finished but is it on line but incomplete? Was there a written contract with a written schedule of work? Anything at all in writing from the company that you placed the order with? Is this company still viable and therefore trading? Naturally, an incomplete website which is on the web will not help you so you will need to take some form of action as soon as possible. garlex |
