Best Way to get clients
These are all great ideas, but hwtif you simply dont have time to update your blog on a daily basis with new and unique content? Thanks, Kevin.Wiles
I'm a fan of the prioritise and try to be "good enough", not perfect approach to life. Trying to update your blog on a daily basis strikes me as being unsustainable for most one man bands. It may be practical for you to think about weekly updating (that was my target though I've usually failed to meet it ![]() Trying to achieve the same goals by an easier route has always struck me as being sensible. I supplement my blog writing efforts by commenting on others' blogs - a much faster and less demanding way to encourage my target audiences to contact me! Linda CareersPartnershipUK
This is the main issue, I tend to keep allot of my work away from home for a range of reasons and while im working I need to be getting clients and not spending time updating my blog. Thanks, Kevin.Wiles
It depends on the nature of your business. All of the methods you mentioned are good but may be varied in results from time to time. If you have a local business then Newspapers advertisements will be the productive approach. But if you want customers over the web then you must have a website with your useful business information. Start your blog to tell the world about your achievements and new arrivals. Having good relationships with your clients will also help you. Asking them for recommendations and have your link at their site will definitely get you more new clients. Bliss Felton
I think it depends on the market, how you approach clients. Not a great of cold calls, they end up being the hard sell. Advertising is the best method, creates awareness of the product or service.
I might sound very boring and an old thinker, but i feel that the best way to get good business is Mouth to Mouth Re feral. This is the best way one can get good clients. Apart from this one can choose basis advertisement and probably flyer or banners, or online advertising. This will help you improve your work and your work reputation.
Adwords all the way! At least 95% of our work comes from google. We have tried bing but we get less than 5 clicks a day of them. We have tried facebook ads, but it was extremely expensive and with little business return. Has anyone else had any luck with facebook ads? Replacemyscreen.co.uk
I make an effort to keep the website up to date and running fairly smooth, it has news feeds and a blog which feeds Twitter, Linkedin, FB etc I am a member with several online forums. Over 90% of leads converting to clients (for me) come from local advertising in newspapers, magazines etc. Half of those either phone me directly or go to the website before phoning or emailing. I do not technically sell anything from my site but it is a very important step of the process. Paul Green
Basically, I don't do anything I know I wouldn't like being done to me. Simple philosophy really. I have social bookmarking sites yea, the one I work on the most is my twitter page, and that's only because my blog is linked and when I write a new blog post, its updated automatically. Then, like I said, there is my blog, which I keep as business orientated as possible, with as much information as I can muster. I prefer helping people make informed decisions, rather than trying for the sell. In the end it helps a great deal because people appreciate being helped more than they do if you tried to force a sale on them. One thing I have noticed about a few businesses over here is that they do keep in touch with their clients. They make time available where they travel to their clients and see how everything is going and at the same time see if there is anything else they can do for them. Clients see this interest, like it and then pass the word along to all their friends, which, in the end gives these companies a bigger client list to go visit ![]() Thanks, Dreamraven
One of the best ways to market any product or service is to move away from targeting the people who need your product or service and start educating those people who could really benefit from your product or service, but who presently don't know that they need it or that it exists. A business blog is a great way to do this, as you can provide fresh, unique and informative content on a regular basis that will educate people so they understand how your product or service can be of benefit to them and what issues it will resolve. |
