I have been promoting a few websites now for a little while. I would like to take a little time here and discuss getting top SEO rankings. While I have spent a tremendous amount of time in directories and forums, it is still a slow process at times. I want to open this up for all of us to discuss what has brought your website top SEO without spending a fortune? Is it even possible?

Sales have increased, specially on the markets we are targeting, the articles are about swimming pools and a wide range of topics. Have a look!

That is a great idea. Thanks for sharing. This is why I started this thread there are many out here that has little ideas that work. A world of information.

I don't think there is any low cost quickfix. It's all about strategy, a well balanced link building program and marketing campaign. A lot of the time this is the same thing, such as forums, promo articles etc.

If you want to specifically want to start driving sales then for a relatively new business it's going to be down to getting good keyword placement. Ideally organic, but as a quickfix till you get there, go for PPC. If you know how your customers are getting to your site, ie which keywords, then get an adwords campaign going.

Your in an extremely competitive market place, concentrate on any USP you have, eg why would I use you over other hosters? A lot of businesses now look beyond cost, online businesses need reliable uptime.

Currently (09.10 GMT) your site is down with an error message:

"We are sorry but we are again down for website fixing..."

If nothing else, change this wording! Apart from it's terrible English, not only are you down, but you are telling the world this isn't the first time!

Outages are the curse of the online world, but scheduled maintenance is a fact of life, so put up a professional holding page. For a hosting company this should be basics
