Can you share your thoughts on how do you ask suggestions for business and working environment improvement in your company? Make decisions yourself or call department meetings and ask for it to them?

I feel the higher management is used to keeping an eye on the things from the very top level. The manager of each department may call on a meeting, asking each individual that where do they find the spaces to fill in the working environment, then a comprehensive sketch of areas to be worked on can be outlined.

Moreover, the higher management with the consultation can also prepare and distribute the questionnaires enclosing the multiple choice as well as open ended questions to get the feedback on the things to be improved.

You would be surprised how many good ideas your staff will come up with if you let them.
We have regular meetings with staff and one of the items on the agenda is improvement, this includes environment and efficiency including working practices and waste. They are very forthcoming and we often incorporate change with their input. They really feel part of the company and actually look for improvements.
You could introduce a suggestion box and periodically reward the best idea. Naturally all line managers need to be involved.

I'm a huge fan of having a working environment that is relaxed and enjoyable for all employees, which while having an obvious hierarchy in place, is comfortable enough for all staff to feel as though they are an integral part of the organization and that their views count.

When working environment's like this are utilized, you'll find that there isn't a great need to worry about holding official meetings or spending a substantial amount of time on improving working practices, as as long as your staff feel comfortable enough to talk about any issues, improvements or ideas they have - and they have the opportunity to put forward these thoughts - they'll do so freely.

Hi there,

You would be reaping better results if you use direct response tools. But of course, you should have the know-how to succeed in any marketing campaign. Engage in lead generation and appointment setting by using direct marketing vehicles such as email, direct mail or telemarketing. Also, develop the talents you have.

Thanks!

Hello,
This is my first post and i hope it will help you in your query.
At my last work place, there was one thing that we had which made us very systematic while working ( between the employees)
We have Friday-Hit day.
So what happens on those days i that we all employees would come together post lunch and have a small discussion about our week/day of work. We would then hold a small suggestion with a suggestion box and put in the suggestions for the person whom we would want to give it to without/with our name.
It was a very professional task and it would help us understand where we were lagging.
So I guess you can try this too

I try to ask anyone who will give me solid advice. All employees, family members (the ones who kind of understand the business) and clients and sometimes even vendors.

One vendor suggested I slightly change the customers I went after, and that has helped my business tremendously become more profitable. There insight into the fulfillment side of the business means they were honed in on better customers.

I think you should get input from your employees before making decisions. There is a good chance some of them have great ideas to help improve the business. When businesses cut out the input of their employees I think it's a big mistake. It could also have a negative impact on employee morale, whereas getting ideas from them would most likely have a positive impact.

I think a collective response is better. It will bring forth better and more ideas. But in the end, decision should be the management's after keeping all factors in mind.
