Cant believe people still think they can say what they like on social media sites about their employer. Yet another example - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1373723/Bank-worker-Stephanie-Bon-fired-Facebook-post-Lloyds-boss-4k-hour-salary.html
Ive heard of countless number of people that have been sacked due to sarcastic or cutting remarks about ones boss, although the bank does state that she was on a temporary contract and thats the reason she was axed, hmm cant have helped though
Wise up people - stop bitching about your employers online - they can see it!
Yeah, lots of lots of stories are heard everyday, that people are adversely affected by facebook. But my point is why don't people make their facebook private only to their friends? as I have observed that facebook privacy settings are excellent that no other social media even provided before, you can hide each and every information from non friends. plus dont add you boss in your facebook friends, as simple as that. Its true that social media perform vital role to promote online business like using Facebook, twtter etc .
LOL I can't believe people are still doing this. It's been around for a while now. Yea, I know sometimes you're just so dang upset you type before you think.... it makes no difference at all, its gna be seen, and you're going to get into trouble for it. The most annoying thing I have found on facebook is when people feel the need to add every teeny tiny little detail of their day. If you break a nail, and you don't need surgery to fix it. I don't need to know about it. Seriously. ![]() Many people use facebook the way it was intended, and many don't have a clue. IMO its the latter that kinda kills it for the rest of us. I had a facebook page, but now it and my entire friend list is buried under a pile of dust, because I don't use it. When my boss and I were talking about setting up a company page, I groaned, but it is my job and I still work on the page when I have time. But because of my workload, we have been thinking about outsourcing, and to be honest, I'm kinda happy about that. The plus side though, is that I can still talk to my friends. Even if its only via skype or email. Thanks, Dreamraven
I really pissed the entire week because I got suspended in work, with the use of facebook and youtube, I really hate coz I did not notice that I was being monitored...it really sucks....efff
I agree that anything posted on the internet has to be written as though it will be seen by your grandmother, your boss, your future offspring, the police, News International, the man behind the counter at the local chippy, and of course by whoever it is you're writing about. Even more so if you are posting on an open forum. On the other hand, remarking that VirtuallyMary

I never could revisit sneaking a peak at what my staff used to say about me on their facebook pages. Of course I would never let on. It can be very revealing to say the least - and I have to admit turning against a few people as a result of their true colours being shown! highlandspring
Hopefully people will learn soon... They'll have to ;-) diggersjohn33 |
