I have been working on some keywords for the last couple months and I have got some of them to page 2. I know I need to get them on to page 1 for real results.
I was wondering if anyone knows what percentage (or a rough idea) of people searching on search engines who actually go on to the second page of results?

“I was wondering if anyone knows what percentage (or a rough idea) of people searching on search engines who actually go on to the second page of results?” No actual numbers, but I doubt few people venture onto page 2 unless the search was very broad and threw up lots of unrelated results. Page 1 Top 3 should be your goal, with anywhere in the top 5 good for conversions.

Along with refreshing contents, try social media and social bookmarking sites too. They help you to rank up your keywords. IanL
As said I think as long as you build some good content and put it out on the relevant websites overtime you will continue to move up within Google, Also remember you can look into other websites to see what they are doing which you might not be to give you that extra boost Thanks, Kevin.Wiles
Thanks for the advice everyone, much appreciated!
“I was wondering if anyone knows what percentage (or a rough idea) of people searching on search engines who actually go on to the second page of results?” Google - 2.5% Yahoo - 2.8% Bing - 3.4 % From a site called Your Search Advisor quoting from a study by iCrossing.

But I don't recommend using only one link to post on a few websites. Try to properly distribute a decent number of links in different websites. But make sure that you submit it with quality. Link building shouldn't be about making more actually, it's the quality of the content with just an additional benefit of making it quantitative. haleymcadams1 |
