I would like to start doing back link but I am finding it hard to obtain quality

To be honest, if you find any published lists you are probably better off staying clear as they will have been spammed to death and won't do you any favours.

Just research industries relevant to you, there are multitudes of opportunities. Joining in conversations, blogs, forums, guest authoring, articles etc.

Yes, Steve's advice is good. I'd also suggest having a look at where your competitors are getting their back links from and see if you can also get some of these links too.......

I use www.backlinkwatch.com but there are a few others. It's just a website that you go on, input the webaddress of the site you want to check the backlinks of and it will show you. dead easy.

I didn't know it was anything to do with Yahoo? Isn't it run by SEOmoz?

It's definitely still up, as been using it today.
