As you might be aware I was looking to start a small agency based online and I have now got some ideas and was wondering if people could go and make a comment on the best one they like or any suggestions they might have.

Prize for typos? "COMAPNY NAME"  How about.. Kev Wiles - SEO Make your own name the brand, and build trust and a following via forums, social media etc. Must admit, every agency I've been in touch with recently with a fancy name has been either full of hot air or let me down. Its individuals that have stood out every time.
Best name I have heard in the last year has to be the band Cashier No9 - not heard the music but what a great name. tomsk
I don't mean to sound priggish but the name really is irrelevant. People pay for quality and value, and if the value and quality is top, the price a person is willing to pay is higher than the average. A name does not guarentee any of these qualities. Im with Steve - keep it simple - Kevin Wiles SEO Now concentrate on how your going to land the customer and how you are going to deliver the results he/she is after. Name can always be changed later - you want happy customers that will give you positive comments that will help win the next batch of customers & so on .... Clive
Personally I think the name is very important and after a while changing your branding can be damaging so I think it's important from the start. For example if a business is called Bodgitt and Scarper, I doubt they'd be very popular, although the name is certainly memorable.  I believe a business name should be simple, concise and explain the services offered. As an SEO man I'm sure Kevin would agree since that's part of what makes a great domain name. Something along the lines of Page-Up-SEO Google-Goggled Going Up SEO Affordable-SEO-Services Whatever you choose to call yourself, I wish you the very best of luck with it. SCentral |
