In general, I find that most Apple products are technologically inferior and far overpriced...

You can't beat a bit of controversy, and I love it when someone swims against the tide. Good for you.

I was late to the smart phone revolution, and now have a business iPhone. It's taken a while, but I have come to find it invaluable, mainly as a personal organiser, contacts, and checking emails when out and about. The built in iPod is also great.

But as a physical phone, I think it's terrible, battery life is non existent and I got better reception and voice quality with a 1990's Nokia.

I don't think you can call it a "mobile phone", it's a hand held computer, with phone functionality.

But its a step up from the old days, where you had to carry your Nokia brick attached to your belt and a Palm Pilot in your pocket to synch with your Windows 3.11 and Lotus mail

I don't think I ever went through that. I've never even owned a palm pilot. But tis true about the iphone's battery life though. Interestingly enough, I recently updated my software to a newer version of IOS 5, and one of the updates addressed battery life. Never knew you could control that actually.

saw that, did make me chuckle, but upgraded anyway. Have you honestly seen any difference?

Not really. It still fizzles out rather quickly. Maybe they should have a look at the battery itself. I have loads of games on here , and maybe its because the graphics are so much better than a non smartphone, they should try optimize a battery for that. Or just a better quality lithium ion would do.

Worked for the Labour Party Well for a while, now it's New Old Labour...

Steve your too much Maybe Apple is getting some of their branding advise from whoever renamed Labour.

Read that they have increased the battery capacity but there it has about the same usage life.

About time battery technology, from electric cars to mobile phones started moving forward. Hopefully our kids will look back and laugh at our stoneage devices...

Maybe they considered a consumer entering a store and literarily requesting "The New iPad". Makes sense no?

Think there was some profound reason as to why they named it The New iPad to be honest it just seems a little stupid. Of course its the new iPad so there isn't much reason to call it that in the first place. It doesn't matter as they willk sell a bucket load and some more of these. They would had sold more if Tesco had honoured that
