Third Generation iPad Launched (its not an iPad3 though)

So Apple have launched a third generation iPad today. Apparently it's not an iPad3 though so that's me confused

Apple (United Kingdom)

Looks just like a normal iPad, but has a better screen resolution apparently and that must have retina scan.

If that's not exciting enough for you, Microsoft have launched another bloated operating system to slow down your laptop, Windows 8...

The sales tag line did make me smile:
"It's Windows reimagined and reinvented from a solid core of Windows 7 speed and reliability. It's an all-new touch interface. It's a new Windows for new devices..."

with all my heart.. I have vista business on my laptop and it makes me cry everytime I boot it. There's nothing wrong with the OS, its just so darn resource hogging it makes it look like its out to fry my laptop.

I love the bling, but there has to be a way to make it use less resources. I have XP on my desktop, so when I boot it, its like coming home.

Yes its not the iPad 3 its The New iPad. Maybe the next version will be called The New New iPad. Sorry but who was in charge of naming for this produce because they deserve a raise

As for windows 8 read about it and the Metro interface, mixed reviews.

It is in fact iPad 3. Apple launches iPad 3.

Sorry but don't think Tim Cook refered to it as the iPad 3. Think it is refered to as the new iPad. It is just that people find it easier to call it the ipad 3. Look at the heading over the Keynote picture, it says The new Ipad.

Thank you Steve. Must wonder if they thought they were being incredibly smart by calling it The new iPad.
