cheers all your thoughts are most welcome, i took the plunge and have had a few good responses but i am very new yet and still have to refine the blogs.

I start a new business so i wana ask is it good that me should start blogs for my business?
As my business is about trade?

I just stopped mine for a while as we had no one reading them.

I think the main thing with your blog is to write for your customer and provide them with the additional information they they might find interesting. Also remember to update your blog regularly with fresh content so there is no negative affect on its search engine rankings.

It basically comes with practice. Initially, get the blog started with the help of a buddy. You can then start experimenting with it as and when you have time. This suggestion is relevant when it's at a more personal level that you intend to use your blog for. Now coming to business, it's always better to get some professional help because using a blog well can make your business and not utilizing it right can break it too. The loss caused sometimes is irrecoverable. I suggest you take care while doing that.

You should post unique and quality content in your blog posts, use your targeted keywords in your blog posts and post links on these keywords. After complete the blog post, post your blog post links on link building websites and social networking websites.

i have stopped the initial blog but am in the throes of setting up another through my google account

I personally think if you add a news or features section to your current web site that is the best. A blog can become like a ball and chain around your neck, whereas you can have a news section (without dates on) which can have fresh content on but only when you have something to add.
