Google has some great free tools, in Analytics and in Adwords and I think their keyword tool in particular is one of the best.

If you want something to give you a good idea of your keyword densities, SEO Book's Keyword Density tool is a good option.

You can use SEO Power Suite. This is free trial for One month.

I have used almost all the tools and websites that are discussed so far in this post. I do not think so that one can easily or ever find any effective tool free because the developers would not let anyone to have them free. Among all i found AHREFs more useful because it let the user to have 15 times to check the back links and keyword rankings.

it is also available in opera extension. You can view indexed pages, PR and lots of more info in it for any website.

If you want to monetize your own website then why don't you use Google analytics. They will provide you API type thing. Put it on the all pages you have in website. Then check it in Google analytic.
