Business Planning

Sounds interesting though, and worth a closer look I think. I've used mindmeister to work on plans for a marketing strategy, site planning etc. I think it would be great to use to plan on, and then use this software to set the plans as goals and then work towards them somehow.

Just looked at mindmeister. Yes that is a mind mapping tool.

Mind mapping is great for creative though, the key difference is that goalscape organises the elements into a 100% circle, and then you can prioritise and track agaist the goals (elements).

So it takes it from 'creative' into 'real world implementation/project'.

We tend to 'mind map' first on a whiteboard, then translate into goalscape to rationalise / prioritise and track against the goals.

(small caveat, for a project above a certain size, it is no substitute to full blown project management tools (that may be used in a full blown project management process like Prince-2), with gantt charts, critical path analysis, resource scheduling, dependency management etc, you wouldn't plan a multi-million

I agree there. We used it mainly for site issues and things like that. But never really took it further than mindmeister. I miss working with gantt charts though. I haven't touched them since I got my diploma never needed to because I'm not working as a PM.

Good to know that they would work well together though (or just have thoughts echoed), it gives a few more possibilities to planning etc. But you can't beat the real deals when it comes to bigger projects.

Yes i have regrets that i did not plan before investing that business and thats why i suffered and got lesser profit

I prefers to use Goal setting tools they are better and easy to use and it also helps in the tracking the goal.
