So if you've ever asked the question, "does Google make much from Adwords" I think we can safely say yes

Google Bringing In More Than $100 Million Per Day Via AdWords

Wonder if they use Quickbooks for their accounts?

Now that is big money! No wonder they don't want to make it easy for people to rank highly in the search results, they would rather you paid for it.

Never made a penny out of me

In days of old, it used to be easy to figure out Adwords - now it's a blooming nightmare. It seems to me that that's a deliberate ploy as well because they benefit from our inability to figure out exactly what to do to get the cheapest clicks possible

You're right. The advertisements at the top of Google search results are starting to blend in more and more with the search results, but that can only mean more money for Google as these adverts become more attractive.

Google's stock recently plummeted after it's third quarter earnings report was released. It's net income was down 20%: Google stock falls after earnings disappoint - The Washington Post

Bing had taken 5% of the Search Market Share from Google in a YOY comparison from May of 2011 to May of 2012: Hitwise: Bing Has Chipped Away 5 Percent Of Google's Search Share Over Past Year

Google has completely wrecked their search results since April of this year in an effort to force businesses to pay for Google Adwords and more recently to be featured in Google Shopping results. In my opinion, if Google doesn't get to work fixing its search results, it will be replaced as the #1 Search Engine on the planet by Bing within the next 5-10 years.

I would like to see Bing replace Google as the number one search engine. As a website owner you never know where you stand with Google.
