As long as there are web pages and search engines then the art of SEO has a few more miles left in it  Now as for the spamming, gaming of search engines and the countless rogue SEO idiots out there claiming to be guru's and trying to squeeze money out of you for ropey links, that's a different story, but I suspect they will also be around for a long time as well 
Actually seo would not go end or dead. i have read many debates about ending of the seo and conclusion was the same that as much longer as the web sites and search engine exists seo would not end. Optimizing the site depends upon the 200 specified factors and all would not end up by the year or in future. Web sites would need to improve the reputation and all we aware of how the reputation can be built up; the back links from the highly trusted and reputed web sites. pentawebexperts
SEO scope cannot be easily ended because all the websites require promotion on search engines, which may not be possible without SEO. So SEO will never end in future. RafaelJames

Google seems everything on the Internet now, but look back in 50 years time, how fast the change were, look forward in 10 or 20 years, SEO will be there but should face competition from other forms, like Internet vs TV before. Thanks, Design promote

To be honest, that's pretty true SEO is just a form of marketing, as with all the other disciplines, social, offline, print, PR etc. Even in 50 years, search engines may be gone and replaced with memory implants, but there will still be a marketing dept operating under some title of the day. |
