I've started my PPC just before 2012 ends and just today I've found out the first page CPC of the keywords I used in my first adword campaign. Now I'd like to be enlightened here, if the first page cpc has lower cost, does it mean the keyword is not relevant to my campaign? And that I should remove it? Any advice please.

lower cost cpc (cost per click) is what you are aiming for! If it's not relevant to your campaign, it will either be a very high CPC (unless in a very competitive market) or you will have no clicks at all.

The lower the CPC the better, but the key is conversions. Ensure a keyword is generating conversions for the right cost, (ie lower cpc).

Me personally I monitor and tune keywords over 30, 60 and 90 days. If I can't get them generating a minimum conversion rate of 10%, then I pause them. Any keyword not generating conversions but getting clicks is simply wasting money, regardless of CPC.

Thanks! I think my question is clearly answered now. Cheers!

Now my 2nd question: I saw in my adwords account that some of keywords are in "Ad showing now" status but when I checked it directly in Google homepage, they ain't showing. What does that mean?

Your ad maybe showing, but on page 2 or 3 and not page 1. Don't forget, each click is a mini auction. All your competitors also want to be on the first page. Once you have had a few clicks, you should see some results in the average position column. This will tell you if you are pitching about right to stay on Page 1.

I'm not a CPC guru, just self taught, so can only tell you what works for me, but I look at the quality score. I try and aim for 8, 9 and 10, and use 7 as a cut off. Any keyword that has a quality score below this, I remove or pause. (you can improve quality scores by things such as relevance on your landing page).

The higher the quality, in theory the lower the CPC, and the more likely it will show up on page 1.

Hope that helps.

Thanks!

And does it matter if my ads are in English? Or it'd be better if I have them in Dutch since we are targeting Belgium. Just a thought.

On that one, can safely say I've no idea! Only ever done English Language campaigns.
