What a shame. Yet another comedian/comic actor plagued by depression and substance abuse.

It's bizarre, all that comic talent and energy was obviously hiding inner demons.

But what an archive of comedy he has left behind, as well as his serious stuff. Personal favourite has to be Good Morning Vietnam, and he is good in Aladdin, a favourite of the kids.

Anyone old enough to remember Mork and Mindy?

Mork calling Orson...

Sad day and a real talent. Too young for Mork and Mindy but looking on utube doesn't look like I missed much lol. Liked his early stand up though.

Thanks,

Must admit as a 17yr old I had the hots for Mindy... As for Robin Williams, I can't say I was a huge fan, but then I've never really understood why people who are in the spotlight / famous get such adoration from people or why they are paid such vasts sums of money simply for doing a job. Been hearing all sorts of reasons of why he did it, depression, financial I don't think anyone will ever know the real reason other than to speculate as to why. Although I guess his biggest battle was with drugs and without them he probably wouldn't have been who we all think he was... Sad and such a waste....

Thanks,
Barney
