Advertises seem to have started a competition on the most touching ad for Christmas. Which one do you think is the best (or worst)?

I'm part of the TV on demand generation so my viewing tends to be BBC iplayer and Amazon Prime and rarely watch "normal" telly, so I hardly see any adverts

May have to watch some just to see how bad some of them actually are compared to the ones in this thread.

I guess they are trying to jump on the 100 year bandwagon. It's sentimental and does go back to the sentiment of Christmas i.e. it's about the thought, however how many people will relate to this is very slim as lets face it most of us would have shared the chocolate with our comrades who were on our side or eaten it ourselves..... obviously I would have shared it. Will this make me shop more at Sainsburys...No, my nearest supermarket is still Tesco. They would be better off giving all of the money for the ad to the RBL and using a simple message to say that's what they've done.

Just an update - the ASA have received 200 complaints about the ad.

About the Sainsburys one? Do they say what the biggest complaint is or wonder if people are uncomfortable with the message?

Honestly? Jumping on the bandwagon of the centenary of WW1 - very poor taste IMHO  ”

Agree, not a fan of this campaign at all.
