Barney hits a 1000 posts!

1000 is impressive! I used to be addicted to twitter (I met my husband on there) and Facebook often wastes much of my time but I do appreciate this forum.  Not only do we get some interesting conversations but there's a good mix of views, which I like.

Twitter, in it's early embryonic form, was a beautiful place full of fun and sarcasm, where you could tweet with Jonathan Ross or Kryton from Red Dwarf and look at the whole timeline of EVERYONE on Twitter at the same time. I would look for a funny comment and follow the person. One turned into my husband (eventually. ..I did leave my ex husband for him after us only meeting up once in real life! ) I also made countless friends on there. It's very different now so hard to imagine I guess.  Those were the days!  

yup I agree they have changed so much over the years ,facebook is much the same now and never get to see half of what has been posted that day. If I do have a long list I find the pages get slower and slower to respond the further down I get 

seems I missed the best of twitter  I resisted for as long as possible before finally following the crowd... It has it's uses but it's functional rather than fun
