A total of 17 new towns and cities will be getting the LTE service, which offers speeds around five times faster than 3G.

You can read the post here at tech radar.

I can remember talks around the forum about 4G, but I can't seem to pinpoint the exact post.

Pope Benedict XVI tweets for the first time at end of audience at the Vatican, who by the end of the afternoon had 800,000 followers, used a tablet computer to send his first personal Twitter message.

You can read the post here at the daily record.

800 000 follows? geez, what I wouldn't give for those numbers.
I'm now officially a minority 12th December 2012 12:26 PM
(sigh) There goes my dream of one day building up an old castle to live in. Drat

I can understand it somehow. There are (checks post again) 191 000 of us living in the UK at the moment. Mostly going after greener pastures (check out the rand/pound conversion) where they then send some of the money they make back home to family, or have some or other political grump they don't want to deal with in SA. I'd bet its the same for everyone that's moved over to the UK. If you think about it though, even though you're born in South Africa or the UK, you're still not a true blue blooded South African/Brit because of your ancestors. My ancestors are French (huguenots), and Irish/Scottish (long story lol) so the only claim I have to being South African is that I was born here.

We have a lot of the same thing happening here with people seeking refuge from beyond our borders because of the life they lead in their own country, and it puts a strain on us as it is because of employment and such.
What Are You Listening To Now? 12th December 2012 9:14 AM
I think so. It will be hard to top gangnam style though. But I caught a show where he was dancing with MC Hammer. That was awesome - trust me.

ATM I'm listening to the music from some of my favorite anime series. This time, its bleach.

It's where someone sits on the edge of some high point and perches like an owl

That's a hoot. (corny)

Surely there's safer ways to pass the time than making yourself look silly. maybe I'm just missing the plot with this.

LOL now that's one way to get your competition to shush. *fist bumps Richard Branson*
And for this year, Google owes me 4 goats, 3 chickens and a wig

Seriously though, they still have a long way to go before its all wiped out. I still find sites with either copied content, spammed content and stuff that spun so badly, I don't think the writer themselves knows what they're trying to say.
Government sites targeted by hackers 11th December 2012 11:51 AM
Definitely. But then again, there are millions of sites out there that can infect your PC with a trojan that could do any kind of damage, be it mobile or not.

My antivirus has a web rep function, so basically, if the site has a green rep, I go to those sites, if not, I steer clear. Trojans are nasty little suckers to get rid of. That's basically all you can really do. Make sure your system is up to date and in lockdown, and if a site asks for personal details, be careful what info you give them.

lol same old same old, but its better to be safe on your side, than trust an unknown webmaster to make sure their site is secured.
