Even though this is an old thread, I think it depends on your line of work.
I am an Emergency Locksmith and work from home / my van. I can be called anywhere within a certain radius once, twice or 10 times a day. So having an office / shop doesn't work for me.
Downside is you can never settle and watch anything on the box!!!
