Well the handicap is now 14, so must be doing something right.

The last few weeks have been excellent weather for golf, but also my business, so its a balancing act at present.
Everybody online by 2012? 13th July 2010 5:16 PM
Having everybody online means that the government can get all their paperwork done online.

Got to do our Vat online, plus PAYE, so less people need in Government?
They've not looked at all the sand in the world.. ..surely!

As for the future, who knows. Though perhaps that's why you often here that the government wants to encourage Research & Development (& offers tax advantages) because they know we don't manufacture anything much these days!

I think its the volume of sand found in tthe Uk?

Lets not knock it.

Its good exercise, can network and get out to see the sun.

My golf is so much better as I got older, in fact with the advances in clubs and balls, i am hitting longer by 10-15 yards per club.

Well better get back to the 19th hole.
We get 2-3 emails a week from manufacturers based in China trying to sell their products. One of the biggest pool manufacturers is based in Spain, lots of good weather, so they have a large market to supply too.

What can we manufacturer as we no longer have the materials and skills to manufacture any products that people want? Maybe we need to design products and let other people manufacture them.

As a parting comment, all the pool filters in the world work on a guage of sand that's only found in Leighton Buzzard!

Yes we will stay away from these directories
Disappeared from Google 6th July 2010 2:46 PM
We find that when we search for our web site that its position changes from day to day, must be something Google does in their system?

My wife has decided to take up golf so she can play with me sometimes.

Just won the monthly medal at my club and my handicap will also be cut?

Hope the wife does not affect my handicap as well?
Is it human nature too 1st July 2010 11:41 AM
Is it human nature to leave things until they break or go bang?

We could not run a business this way, leaving it to run itself and spending money on it when it has a problem. But so many people think they are saving money if they do not maitain their swimming pools or service their cars?

One of our clients got a repair bill for thousands of pounds because he failed to maintain this equipment, saving themselves a couple of hundred pounds in the last few years by not having the equipment maintained.

So in these hard times try to keep equipment maintained as from our experience its saves you money in the long term, if you cannot afford a full service, why not pay for a quick visual check and have peace of mind?
