Do you run a business from home? 6th August 2013 2:28 PM
I have just started my business and to save on start up costs I run the business from home.
I turned the back end of the garage in to an office. I have a set time to be in the office and I break for lunch. At 17.00 I turn everything off and walk away.
Because I have a separate room (proper office - which cannot be entered from the house) I can focus and don't get distracted by other people being in the house. It also means that I can spend a few hours over the weekend if I need to get something done without having a knock on effect on the rest of the family.
For me it works and I love it! I do agree though you have to be a very special type of person to be able to do it and a lot of my friends have said they wouldn't be able too.
