Well, I made it home, despite having to listen to the limited selection of a CD, rather than a great selection of 1400 tracks at my fingertips.

After more than 20 attempts of re-setting throughout the day and evening of Friday 13th, my ipod was still frozen. I gave up and went to bed. On waking on Saturday 14th, my ipod screen was displaying the apple. I pressed the re-set buttons, the screen sprung into life I've just connected to itunes, it recognised my ipod, and it's now all fine.

Friday 13th? Well, I never was superstitious.

Are you all saying that I've got to drive all the way home without my ipod?

Morning, all techies out there. Can anyone help with my ipod problem? I attempted to charge it up this morning, by connecting to my PC as usual. It did not recognise my ipod in itunes. I've tried the usual re-set buttons on my ipod, but it is still frozen. Any ideas?

Yes, i know it's Friday 13th

Direct mail is a great marketing tool, to drive people to your website. It allows you to target your audience. By pinpointing your intended recipients, you restrict the use of resources to those who are most likely to bite.

Direct mail is personal. Even though it may be carried out on a large scale, carefully worded copy can seem to address the recipient directly. The mail piece also gets the recipient

I seem to be a bit out of touch with the latest music. Currently re-listening to Placebo and Bush. I discovered Tiken Jah Fakoley about 6 months ago by accident. I think he is Haiten or something. Sings Ragae in French. Can't understand most of it, but sure sounds good.

Yes, I have a lot of Placebo and a few Bush tracks on my ipod. "The Killers" have made some great "driving tracks".

I haven't heard of Tiken Jah Fakoley, but I have some World music albums. I have quite a lot of Mercan Dede, who I discovered through an album he did with Peter Murphy called "Dust".

Depends what I'm doing. If its mundane, database work but need to concentrate, I tend to work from home and have a bit of 80's or rock quietly in the background.

Other than that, tend to save it for the drive home, then blast my eardrums with anything thats on the ipod

Just noticed this thread, and have to agree with the ipod blasting on the drive home option. I have my ipod on Shuffle, and must say "Shuffy" chooses me some great tunes. They certainly get me through the traffic jams. My ipod's mainly full of tracks that are not going to be played on the radio, as I love to discover new artists.
