Jack came promptly, examined our roof and agreed to fix some problems for £600. When he started work he called me and said the job would cost £950. He promised to paint the leaking area inside and out but messed up, we decided repaint it ourselves thinking "he had fixed the roof".

A week later the roof started leaking and he came and estimated it at £450. I was suspicious and decided to get a second opinion and also check his work. When I got up on the roof I was shocked. He had applied new cement to the old, soft, brittle cement which fell off with one light touch! I contacted him and he told me he did a "good job, other roofers gave me wrong information" when I said I saw it myself and he replied "I charged you for repointing". He tried to convince me by saying that putting new cement on loose and brittle old cement meant "repointing". I got my second shock.. Then he blocked me. Then I left a review on Bark and Yell. He disputed, both reviews disappeared, strange and fake reviews appeared under my name.
After my complaint, both agencies checked the evidence, restored the reviews, Now I took the advice from Citizien Advice to get my money back..
