The survey was performed by Lee who produced a comprehensive report that was easy for us to understand. He also took the time out of business hours to talk us through the key findings. Had a good experience, Lee did a level 3 survey for us recently and it was very thorough and the report was clear to understand. There was a follow up meeting after for me to ask any questions, although thankfully the house was in good condition so I didn't need to ask much. But I appreciate that the meeting is an option as these things can be very overwhelming.

Would definitely recommend.

This firm provided us with a Level 3 survey - was carried out by a very professional surveyor specialised in period properties. We received a very detailed report from them and we especially appreciated the online consultation with the surveyor.

Lee Preston with Domestic Surveys did a fantastic and thorough job of our survey. The report was sent to us within 48 hours of the survey being done, with a follow up zoom call to discuss it in detail and answer any questions the following week. Lee was great at explaining everything to us and advising what would need to be done to the property, and was happy to do follow up emails with any questions we had. Would highly recommend Domestic Surveys to anyone buying a property for the first time, and feeling like they may need extra support with a through survey to make the purchase as stress free as possible.

I have found these surveyors to be the some of the most helpful people during my purchasing experience. Lee and Martin have given me a lot of valuable advice and I have often turned to them with questions when I have not been sure who to ask. Lee provided a fantastic service for us. His Level 3 survey of the property we were purchasing was thorough, and his findings were presented clearly and professionally.

The follow-up call to talk through the report was really valuable as well, giving us a sanity check where we needed it, and really great advice on next steps for works, where we may be able to renegotiate on price, as well as some helpful costings for the suggested works.

Straightforward and friendly to deal with. Open and honest. Explained in detail what I would get from the report and what I would or would not be able to infer from it, so I knew exactly what I was buying. The report itself is extensive and clear, with plenty of contextual illustrations and supporting photos to illustrate specific points of concern. The follow-up meeting with the surveyor to go through the report in detail was included in the cost, which I appreciated. Would recommend without hesitation.

I am very happy with the service provided. They communicated clearly and timely, the report was comprehensive (went for RICS level 3 building survey), Lee went through the report with me via a Zoom call and explained all the details, clarifying everything I didn’t understand. This gave me confidence in my purchase and knew what potential follow up costs I might have. Definitely recommend!

Lee carried out a Level 2 survey for us on a 4 bedroom house in Stoke Gifford and I couldn't be happier! He listened to our requests (we had some things we'd identified ahead of time we wanted checked) and produced a really helpful report which identified risks and further recommendations clearly - everything was written in clear, easy to understand English (no jargon!) and he obviously takes pride in what he does.

As a result of this survey we had more investigations and eventually pulled out of the purchase. Lee and Domestic Surveys have saved us a considerable amount of money (and time) and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them in the future. We will be using them again once we've found another house.

I can't recommend South West Surveyors more highly. A number of friends recommended them to me and it was easy to see why. The initial enquiry and booking process was very easy - Martin always responded promptly and clearly - and the survey done by Lee Preston was extremely thorough. In fact, I used South West Surveyors twice. It was because of Lee's survey and follow up chat that I decided to not proceed with one purchase but was very confident in pursuing the second. I am now very happily settled in my new home thanks to Martin and Lee.
