I have used this company for a couple of surveys while going through a first house buying service. They have been so professional, and for someone who is a novice they have been so patient and thorough. The surveys and the offered conversations to go through them have been invaluable. Would highly recommend!

We were in the process of purchasing a three bed 60's property in Bristol and needed a survey to be completed.

After searching the local area for surveyors, we came across South West Surveyors who had some great reviews.

We made contact and were pleasantly surprised with the professionalism and knowledge of this company. They explained the different types of surveys available and what would be most suitable for this type of property, before allowing us to decide. We went for a Homebuyers Report.

Booking was seamless and they were able to liaise directly with the agent to arrange access to the property.

The report was in-depth and picked up several issues which we wouldn't have noticed. Lee was super helpful and followed up his report with a telephone consultation at no additional cost to go through the report with us and answer any questions we had. This not only allowed us to understand the issues in more detail, but also what sort of cost we would be looking at for each job and the work entailed.

Thanks to the report, we were able to renegotiate the purchase price of the property by several thousand pounds.

Highly recommended! My level 3 survey was carried out by Lee, the report was available within a couple of days and was very thorough. Lee was professional, friendly and extremely helpful during the follow up phone call. I pulled out of the sale due to a multitude of costly issues hidden beneath new paint and floor boards. I will definitely be using this service again when I find another suitable property.

Domestic surveys were great in explaining the whole process to us, as first time buyers it was great to get an understanding of what was involved. Second time I have used this company.l to survey a prospective purchase. Martin is extremely prompt and will walk you through the options over the phone in great detail. They were quick to arrange a visit with the house owner and within a day or so Lee had the report ready in a new, and very layman friendly, format to send over. Followed up with a zoom call a few days after that to discuss it in more detail, I felt very confident about understanding the state of the house and any potential issues. Lee was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable and included rough estimates of costs, an overall general opinion about the property and some general advice on negotiation with the home owner. It was clear that Lee had politely questioned the home owner at the time, researched the area thoroughly and was able to provide a small list of objective pros and cons about the property and the location.
Whilst the level 3 survey is not cheap, it's affordable and should be a no brainer when considering a purchase - I expect to save 10x the cost of the survey when renegotiating.

Martin from Domestic Survey recommended Lee as surveyor to inspect an old victorian propriety.

I would strongly recommend Lee to whoever is looking for a real professional surveyor.

The report he produced highlighted every single detail about the propriety, with pictures that explained what the issues were and what they were related to.

We also had a chance to speak with him on 1 hour zoom call which has been one of the most instructive call I had in ages. He took the time to go through everything that was explained in the report, as well as giving us recommendations regarding what to look for in a propriety.

In the end the house that was surveyed resulted to have structural issues and we won’t go ahead with the purchase, but I am left with an incredibly positive feeling knowing how much I learned and that without Lee we wouldn’t be able to dodge the bullet.
