At 4:05 in the morning Nigel Farage declares victory for the leave campaign although there are still 118 area results to be declared, so we're currently around 2/3 into the count.... and the leave campaign are ahead by around 500,000 votes so anything can still happen.....

Well at 3:15 in the morning it's looking pretty good, wont count my chickens just yet though, but confidence of leaving is going up by the hour..... This evening you could have got 3/1 with the bookmakers to leave and 1/2 to remain this has now changed to 8/15 leave and 7/4 remain..... Still a long way to go with the results yet, but if there is a lesson to be learned I'm guessing that it would be never to trust / believe in a polling / statistical company they are so far of the mark at present I'm not sure how they are able to remain in business. My local area of Barking & Dagenham the results are now in and tie in more or less with my neighbours, spoke with the Bangladeshi tonight who changed his mind to remain. Giving the benefit of doubt to the neighbour who keeps himself to himself that he wanted to remain the boroughs results are 62% leave and 38% remain.... So my poll was more accurate than either Gallop or Yougov ........... Whatever the results, politicians up and down the country will now have to start listening more closely to the people who they represent....  I have a feeling the pub trade is going to be busy this weekend....

Just about to go out and vote now..... Lets see if I can tip the balance for the leave campaign I'm hopeful...... but not confident....

Just visited the Bizitalk site, must admit never heard of them..... Good to know they had similar results, I'm hoping that all of these small independent polls end up giving the major polling bodies a bloody nose and show them for what they are. Haven't been out to vote yet as I spent the early hours of this morning trying to get one of my cats in from out of the rain howling......  So I was absolutely drenched at 3am....

What Are You Listening To Now? 23rd June 2016 11:26 AM

Well you should've listened to this.......

I didn't know there was a television debate last night....So spent the evening filling the skip on my drive, so as my neighbours love to share my skip although not contribute towards the cost of it... Don't you just love em? We had a mini debate in the street, 9 out of the 10 houses in the close, participated. No1 remained hidden indoors twitching his curtains wondering what was going on and did not take part..... No 2 African = leave, No 3 Jamaican = leave, No 4 African = leave, No 5 English = leave, No 6 Irish / English = leave, No 7 English = leave, No 8 Sri Lankan = leave, No 9 Bangladeshi = leave and No 10 English = leave....

Ok I had a hammer in one hand and a circular saw in the other as I was breaking up wooden pallets..... But I swear I never threatened any of them.... In actual fact it's a nice little close and we're all of the same age group and get on with each other....

It's not a fast process though, can see them dragging their heels in many ways....

I'm guessing that if we leave, it will take as many years to get out of the mess as it did to get in it..... I think many people, more so the leave campaigners think everything is going to change within 5 minutes of the vote being counted.... It wont, if the leave vote wins any changes will be gradual....

Whatever the result, tomorrow will be one of those points in time  which determines where the UK is heading and it's future. It will be an historical day whether we stay or leave and will be talked about and taught in schools for generations to come... I just hope people actually go out and vote tomorrow........

Probably a stupid question but are the government actually obligated to follow the result or can they wriggle out of it somehow? How legally binding is it? ”
Not wanting to say whether it's a stupid question or not But it would certainly be a stupid Government that promised the electorate a referendum as part of it's general election manifesto and was voted in on the basis of that manifesto, then held the referendum and then stuck 2 fingers up at the electorate because they didn't like the result and carried on as normal disregarding the majority's wish. I have absolutely no doubt that there will be rioting on the streets and the Government would brought to it's knee's within 24- 48hrs and the PM would be looking for a country to exile to..... Simply because the UK is a democratic country and Parliament would have gone against the consent of the people..... To be quite honest on an issue such as this, it doesn't bare thinking about, because we would end up having complete anarchy on the streets...... in fact it would be this nations worst nightmare.....

Will be glad when it is all over to be honest, I'm not sure people are spending on high end goods at present with them nit knowing what is going to happen.... Traveling up the A1M this weekend I saw plenty of signs on bridges or on farmland saying vote leave....I didn't see any saying vote remain..... I'm confident we're going, but not overly as I think it can still go either way.... I think it all depends on how the youngsters value their right to vote... If they all come out and have their say we'll be staying.... If they all stay in bed stoned or drunk from the night before we'll be leaving.... At the end of the day it will effect them far greater than it will effect me....

Possessory Title.... 20th June 2016 2:16 PM

Well to be honest I've already been to the Highlands to visit a property, now had it not been for the midges I may have wanted to stay.... Did spend 3 weeks on Isle of Rum during my army days and spent the entire 3 weeks smothered with insect repellent which seemed to attract the midges even more, so should have known not to venture too far north of Watford... Going to Wales this weekend to have a look..... I just need to get away from inner city life.... I don't mind the work, but I've had enough of living around commoners and mobile phones bleeping every 2 seconds... I need peace and tranquility......
