I think the problem was he is alleged to have repeated what 'tother chap thought he heard Terry say.

I hate racism & im not sure who is telling the truth but a Court has found Terry not Guilty & that should have been the end of the matter.

On reflection the fine is around 2 weeks wages & a 4 match ban isnt too bad, this should be the end of it but somehow this is going to drag on .....
What are your expectations from a customer? 28th September 2012 10:52 AM
Ok as per Barneys request in another post about expectations of customers, i had to share with you an email i had yesterday.

Quick scene set - we did a newsletter run on MLS to our customers on behalf of one of our clients, unfortunately due to a technical blip the links didnt work

Doh ! - once we realised we contacted the client and appraised him of the situation, apologised and said we would send a second email run to our customers apologising for the error & of course letting them click through the links. Our email was titled - We owe you an apology

What i didnt expect was this reply from one of our customers

you do **** u call me 0121do1

Oh dear - having looked at his FREE listing with us and the 227 page views he has had recently, i guess he doesnt know that i get the last laugh & have deleted his details and blocked him from re-listing in the future

To counter this i did get several replies from people saying - No prob, or no worries & even a thank you.

I also get people who take our FREE listing and expect the earth - this is a basic free (get the word there, free) listing and complain the next day 'coz they arent top of Google, even those that put themselves in the wrong category shout at us 'coz of course its our fault they cant type or dont check their details of the FREE listing - i dont mind helping anyone with anything,(and i do take dozens of calls) thats why im here but i do expect courtesy and a small thanks Clive does go a long way!

Anyone have any similar stories?

What are your expectations from tradesmen? 27th September 2012 2:18 PM
As a contentious customer of any tradesmen i would normally move anything that would restrict the tradesmans access to carry out the job required.

Of course there are times when i need help from that tradesman to move certain items and normally they are only too happy to help, but id never expect them to do it on their own.

Never asked anyone to tidy up mess as 99% of the time i normally leave them to do the job, last time i had some work done was a new aerial for my house, they drilled the wall & vac'd before i realised they had done it. Although if i'd had a written quote usually it states "site to be left clean & tidy" so in respect of the garage door i would have expected that to have been tidied up.

So the verdict is due later on the FA hearing in to John Terrys alleged racist rant.

Forgive me if im wrong, wasnt he found not guilty in a Court of Law for the same thing?

How can the FA charge him if Legally he is not guilty?

What ramifications does this have if a sports body thinks its above the Law?

Awaiting the verdict with interest ....
If recession keeps going, then next years list maybe:

Poundland
Poundworld
Aldi
Lidl
Mazuma Mobile
Matalan
Charity Shops

Thats brilliant - love it

I'd have thought Bugatti was much cooler than Aston Martin, But that's just me.

(iPhone rulz ok)

S'pose the Aston is more affordable to more people, the veyron is only available to the super rich - such a cool car though

Yet another High Street store looks set to vanish - putting aside the poor soles about to lose their jobs & my sympathies with them but ...

... this has to be bad for competition & prices of sports clothes and goods are sure to go up.

Can anyone else see a future where there will just be one store where you get everything from? S'pose we arent far away now with the Sainsburys & Tescos giant stores this isnt good !
PCI DSS Compliance - are you? 24th September 2012 11:17 AM
Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place but its related to this question.
I am also with streamline and have received this notice.
It states at the bottom you can cancel your contract with streamline if you don't like the new conditions, well I want to cancel my contract with them. I have 2 years remaining on my original contract but it seems you can cancel your contract but the hire agreement for the card terminal is seperate so I would still have to pay for that! Is this correct? If it is I might as well keep the contract going. Any help would be appreciated.
Kevin

Hi & welcome Kevin

That is a very interesting question! I would have thought you could reject the new Ts & Cs and under that force cancellation as they are changing the terms of which you originally signed.

I had a similar experience with my Bank last year - they changed the Ts & Cs of several accounts i held - being the cantankerous type and dug my heels in saying i wasnt happy with the changes. As i had locked some money away on a long term deal they said i could withdraw that money without loss of interest as they had changed the Ts & Cs.

Hope this helps - dig your heels in though & make a fuss - after all they changed the terms not you

Let us all know how you get on
