BUS LANES INTO CYCLE SUPER HIGHWAYS 22nd December 2015 9:37 AM

Will tell you who should contribute to be on the roads and be responsible for clearing up their mess - bloody horses!!! (well their riders)

How many times have you been driving down a road, big pile of horse shiii err manure and splat its all up the wing of your nice clean car !!!

Why are they not forced to clean up their mess like dog owners are?

Gingerbread men - always has been until these equal rights pc brigade started.

My Gran was Chairman of the Local Council and she never complained, she was also the Town Mayor, or should that be Mayoress? See! Can of worms ......

Hi John

I took EON to task over their lack of customer service recently over believe it or not meter reading! (as per Barney's post, they hadnt read mine in over 2 years)

They threatened me with Court action if i didnt let them read my meter - simple i said pop round any time after 6pm. Their meter readers only work until 5pm and you have to jump through hoops to get one after that.

A most unpleasant experience, 4 threatening letters later i decide to go to Ombudsman. They found in my favour but got a poultry amount in compensation, but they did say EON should change their hours for meter readers.

Whichever utility provider you are with, you are a number not a customer and they seem to be able to dictate what they like with very little "customer service" unless you have the patience to take them to task.

One thing i don't get though, is if you have given them meter readings why haven't they confirmed the charges, or are they saying you have used £3200 with their readings, in which case sounds like you have either a faulty meter or as Barney suggests is it that they have under charged you somehow?

Good luck with your Court case

Heart warming story 14th December 2015 1:26 PM

Today, when the World, well the people that live on it, seem closer to kill each other than shake a hand in peace, this is a story that should be headline News.

credit to MSN.UK

Overall story, a lady paid for her food in a drive through McD's in Florida and as a token of kindness wanted to pay for the food of the car behind her and asked that the cashier wish them a Merry Christmas.

This random act of kindness then sparked a 6 hour wave of 250 cars doing exactly the same.

There is, it seems, still hope for mankind.

Peace be with you all during the festive times.

Merry Christmas

Like the defib idea  It's a cracking point though, you see chargers now at the motorway services. Do drivers have to plug in for 12 hours, or is a 30 minute pitstop enough time to give you any meaningful charge?

Give me a electric car that can do 400 miles between charges, and doesn't look like something off Logans Run, and I'll buy one.

Also just seen in the News that Ford are investing $4.5billion in their electric car programme.

On their list of claims they want 40% of their cars to have an electric version.

Top of the list is the Focus which can take 80% of its charge in 30 minutes and give it an estimated range of a massive 100 miles. They don't get it do they
