Social media is usually a place for fun and for people to let their hair down and see what friends have been up to. A large amount of teens use the social networking sites in order to communicate with friends, however as of this morning I have only come to realise that social media sites used by teenagers isn't all fun and games.

18,778 teenagers in the UK aged 11-18 were admitted to hospital in 2015/2016 with self harm injuries. These injuries provoked by online cyber bullies on Social Media who have hurled abuse making their victim feel suicidal and insecure. As we all know teenagers are put under a lot of stress with exams and school life, as the years go on it just seems to be getting worse for teenagers to deal with the pressure. In some cases it isn't cyber bullies that have caused the injuries. The injuries are due to insecurities teens have and Social media doesn't help, with photographs shared and posted of airbrushed models and body builders its no wonder the kids of today are not confident in themselves.

I think its about time something was done about this because the likelihood of the number of teens admitted could be even higher between 2016/2017- and how heartbreaking and terrible would that be?

Lack of Customer Service 8th December 2016 1:25 PM

Customer service is a lot better face to face I do agree however I much prefer shopping online, the process it just so much quicker and can be done without the hassle of braving the cold and actually going out to buy presents.

WHsmith is a weird shop I do agree, don't think my customer service would be as happy if i worked in a dull shop like that I feel amazon is the best online, always guarantee you're parcel is delivered to you as soon as possible.

Lack of Customer Service 8th December 2016 9:34 AM

During this festive period retail stores are constantly busy with many Christmas buyers. Most stores even hire more temporary staff in order to help get through this tough time, in my opinion this is a good idea because this means less queuing and an overall quicker experience. With more staff around customers are able to easily seek advice or help within the store- or so you think.

High street shoppers are now actually avoiding shopping due to the lack of customer service. In my opinion having worked in customer service before it is so important for a customer to receive good customer service, because it ensures they return and could possible lead to positive reviews for the company.

According to ITV

The most common complaints included slow service, named by 68% of shoppers, unavailable items (52%) and unknowledgeable staff (50%).

Over a third of shoppers (38%) also complained about encountering rude staff, confusing shop layouts (32%) and overly attentive staff (27%).

It also found nearly a third of consumers now shop online a few times a week, while another quarter do the same once a week.

Good customer service is key within a company/business- without it you will never be able to build a secure customer base!

Paloma Faith and her NHS experience 7th December 2016 1:03 PM

Totally agree with you, a good review from a celebrity really says nothing because they are bound to have better treatment!

Paloma Faith and her NHS experience 7th December 2016 9:21 AM

It has come to my attention that the NHS may have some positive feedback! After being slated in recent headlines across the news, it may be about time that their work was praised.

Paloma Faith; some of you might know her some of you might not. For those of you that do not she is a famous singer/popstar. After being rushed in to hospital with labour pains the singer described the NHS as "one of the great achievements of this country". The singer herself was sent for an emergency caesarean section during the birth of her first child; through writing a letter to the NHS praising them for all their hard works, the letter has now gone viral and expresses a lot of passion towards the NHS. I think its brilliant how the employees have been recognised for their hard work however begs the question of would it be the same overly caring treatment for a non popstar.

Knowing of her fan base and amazing reputation within the UK, the NHS would not want any more bad publicity; especially not with a famous singer therefore its interesting to know if an ordinary member of the public in her situation would think the same as what Paloma faith does

Don't get me wrong I am not saying they wouldn't get the same treatment as the singer however it does make me wonder if this is a way of getting good publicity after all the bad publicity.

oooooo noooo not missing out on much then

We thought we had hit the jackpot when they introduced self checkout within supermarkets- it meant less time waiting for the checkout assistant to scan all your items whilst having a polite conversation about how great your day was going, or how bad your day was going in some cases

Well just to fill you in, you haven't seen it all as far as supermarket technology goes as Amazon are now planning to open an 'Amazon Go' grocery store; this store not being the typical grocery store, where you pay in the store- how cliche would that be

According to BBC technology

The system detects when items are taken or returned to shelves and tracks them in a virtual shopping trolley.

Once the shopper leaves the store, their Amazon account will be charged and receipt sent to them.

How clever!! This is something that is very exciting
