Most sites these days stop you dropping in random links. We do here. You need to find a way to add value to the sites you use rather than dropping links all over the place. Give advice or information on subjects that relate to the business. Write blogs or articles to drive traffic to the place you want it.

The problem with anything to do with trading is who knows if it is reputable, as there are so many that aren't, I imagine that they suspend accounts for certain types of business to protect the consumer.

I use social media marketing as I don't have a website and I don't believe in cold calling/emailing people. Not my style of business. I use my content to generate an audience of people that know, like and trust me and then if I have a offer or mention a product I always get some leads or I just generate them by turning up consistently. Works for me. I use LinkedIn.

Well that's badly written, do you think they need a copywriter?

I love this, thanks Jonathan. The photos are stunning as well. It's all very inspiring!

What exactly is it Andy?

My first born starts school in September. I’m a business in its infancy,  so I guess I will assess where my business is when the holidays arrive. I’ve never really given school holidays much thought, now I’m thinking oh my word, how do people do it?”

What do you use as childcare now? Can you use that in the holidays? As that's basically what I do for some of the time. Use my childminder. Otherwise I'd be working nights. Haha.

Unfortunately I am a adword user AND YES I hate using it.. But I have no choice. If I want to show my products on google shopping you have to have a adword account otherwise your products don't show.

I personally think it is highly wrong as I spend fricking loads a month and often get no sales from them.It is just such a pity that this kind of practice gets banned”

Oh wow I didn't know that as I don't sell products. Ouch. That's terrible!!

A lot of my new blog clients seem to be escaping the clutches of Google by putting regular, good quality blogs on their website instead. The use of well-written content that's regularly posted on your website, seems to boost your SEO as much as AdWords. And this isn't me talking it's my clients.

I think it can be a bit scary if you use AdWords and and it seemingly produces results as you feel reliant on it, that's how they get you I suppose. You don't want to give it up and risk a loss of leads.

But imagine not having to pay them every month and instead having high quality content on your website that actually produce top class leads?

What's your experience? Are you an AdWords advocate? Or do you write regular blogs? I'm interested to know if my sample is typical of the way people are going.
