I'm so sick of all the emails. One company just sent 3 in a row about privacy policy, opting out and new terms and conditions. For goodness sake people!

Social Sites 14th May 2018 4:14 PM

I have to admit I mostly use Twitter and Facebook, with a bit of LinkedIn. I don't have products to showcase so Pinterest and Instagram aren't that helpful. I probably need to start using Instagram for short videos but it's just another to do! I use them both for personal use but not much.

SEO Google listing rankings help 10th May 2018 9:15 PM

Hi Greig,

I'm no SEO expert but your website home page is very very text heavy and it doesn't make that much sense to be honest. The grammar is all over the place and this may well have an impact on a Google ranking, it would certainly affect sales I'm sure. Especially as in your line of work you need to come across as very trustworthy and authentic.

I would suggest using a copywriter/proofreader such as myself or someone who offers a similar service, in order to tidy up the text. This will definitely help. Key words are crucial but they need to be in readable sentences.

I hope you don't mind my honesty, I'm just trying to be constructive. Best of luck with it all.

Kind regards

Karaoke anyone? 10th May 2018 9:05 PM

Hi Jim and welcome to the forum, what a fun business to run! I bet you love going to work. I am a hopeless singer so I stick to singing in my car to save everyone from it.

I'm putting my money on the new name being 'Asburys'

Hahaha

To be honest I was in Sainsbury's yesterday and they were wonderful, really helpful. Chavda, sorry Asda, never seems to come close to this. I wonder if there will be a difference or if they'll simply continue to be managed differently.

They are definitely gathering a lot of market share by doing this as I'm sure there are a lot of shoppers in Asda that never go to Sainsbury's and vice versa. They both have really strong clothing ranges as well but I hear they will still remain. I feel like Sainsbury's are 'fairly' ethical and that's going to be compromised now, which is disappointing.  If I could afford it I'd stick to Marks and Spencer's!

Sainsbury's and Asda will become one 30th April 2018 12:01 PM

So what do you think about it? As a big fan of Sainsbury's and hater of Asda I am not best pleased frankly! I can't see it benefitting them, even though the report suggests prices will go down. Quality will more than likely be compromised, Asda is right down the bottom for quality in my opinion.

I also dislike big companies getting bigger and bigger, globalisation is the enemy of us all.
