I was looking for a small footprint on a customers existing windows tin.
I always go for a linux based product normally such as safesquid but this customer is in the other side of London and has no spare tin to offer up for a proxy so I was trying to find a suitable compromise.
even though the thought of a proxy on a windows server makes me twitch sligthly.
They only have 25 seats which also makes ISA cost prohibitive.

I do like safe squid but I have only ever installed it on Linux.

Viral advertising works on me I dont respond to email marketing anymore it has been around to long and I get bombarded every day.

It is easy enough to sit in a company as an employee telling anyone who will listen how you would run the company but it is a different story when you are the man in the hot seat.

This is a crowded market place so you have to think about what is your USP.
If you are going for the single room aspect for a week np as it will be normaly be furnished but if it is the whole house for a month is there going to be furniture there as the last thing the landlord wants is a load of backpackers slumming it or a load of backpackers trashing there furniture.
site development costs and this is from experience of a simlilar type of product but in a difference market space. The bigger the content management system the bigger the costs. if you want a very simple single page with a couple of pics the costs is not too bad 30k'ish if you want a full blown CMS with numerous pictures and link and reviews pages etc etc you are talking 100k
I totally agree with Steve on this one if you are using a free provider make
sure you setup outlook as a imap repository and archive to *.PST everyday
otherwise it will be lights out for you email.
you wont be able to circumvent the fact that you have lost your email service
but at least you have still got you email history safe and sound.
