Thank you for your detailed response to my post.

Let me explain: my previous post was not as serious as you thought.

As for my research, it has long been available. But it makes no sense to consider it in detail here, as well as it makes no sense to compare the British and the Russian system education.

I am a person who knows the Russian system of higher education for a long time, I want to say that the main criteria for choosing the teaching profession in Russia is not a financial factor .
So the debate, declared in the first message caused my smile. What I apologize if it offended anyone.

For a detailed answer thank you again. I learned a lot.

If you called me 'he', it's not entirely true, I'm "she"
School Holidays 25th March 2012 7:55 PM
10 weeks only for schoolchildren in middle school (10-15 years old). Beggining school students have 12 weeks

For me (working parent) it is a big problem. I have 2 kids (3 and 6 years old). From 1 of June to the end of August I change my scedule (when I was a teacher at the state university it was nice time, because I had long holidays, but I did not have children that time ) Solutions: babysitters, grandmathers and other relatives...And Russian Dacha
Are you sick of highly paid teachers? 23rd March 2012 10:18 PM
However, remember they only work 180 days a year!!! I am not going to pay them for any holidays .

The teachers work more then "180 days a year".
In our (Russian) universities we write thousands course programs, research new methodics, and have a lot of science experiments

Anyone know why we have such a long break?

It is not a long break!
In Russia our schoolchildren have 2 week holidays in January, 1 week in the end of March, 10 weeks in summer and 1 week in November.
