Requiem for a dream
Legendary film, that set off a chain reaction of rip offs that never quite hit the mark. The soundtrack alone deserves a award, although I think it is actually a piece of old classical music.
On a completely different vibe I'd like to throw Marley and Me into the list, Cheesy and predictable film. But its delivery was almost flawless, and even made you think that Jennifer Aniston was a serious actor (Only for a split second though). Other half dragged me to go and see it, biggest surprise of my film watching career.
